Catholic Father Sang-hyeon works sacrificially in a hospital, where he comforts the sick and the dying. But that is not enough for him. To make an even greater contribution to the healing of the sick, he travels to Africa to volunteer as a test subject in the search for a cure for the deadly Emmanuel virus. He is infected with the virus, but the antidote administered fails. Even a quickly initiated emergency operation with a blood transfusion cannot save the priest - he dies while still on the operating table. Then the miracle happens: Sang-hyeon returns to the circle of the living. But he is no longer the same, because the fresh blood in his veins comes from a vampire.
