A warm-hearted, yet formally radical film portrait in black and white and color about Edgar Reitz in his encounter with a young female filmmaker. In an exchange between generations, the co-signer of the famous Oberhausen Manifesto and pioneer of the "New German Cinema" meets a young female director. The film takes up questions ranging from personal biography to the death of cinema and becomes a declaration of love for filmmaking itself.
